FH: PFT Fiat 621 Presentation & More! (Gloria Victis)

At the begin of the year, we had present you the News about the "Gloria Victis" Project from the "PFT Clan" on the "Pixel Fighter Community." It is for the Forgotten Hope 0.7  Mod (Battlefield 1942), a closely mappack.
The Name "Gloria Victis" springs just because polish episod of World War II is still forgotten.
The "PFT Clan" want to recall the heroism demonstrated by soldiers of Poland during defence against nazi invaders.

Fully historical, brand new equipment, guns, uniforms, sounds, icons and many static objects waiting for you to play!
And all placed with the coordinates of original maps.


Actually they want to finish these maps:
- Westerplatte (waiting for server ver.)
- Grodno (waiting for server ver.)
- eastern region (WIP)
- Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (WIP)
...and several other maps mainly from September Campaign 1939 but not only...

NEW TRUCK FIAT 621


During last months we have been working over raising the range of customers of our mod. We made a polish-language site with weekly informations.Link
Finally we are able to reconstruct the polish automotive branch and the one of its elements is Polski/Polish Fiat 621 L – a truck manufactured in Poland in 1935-1939 under the license from FIAT.





The model just doesn't beyond of the standards of FH 0.7. It is mapped with heavenly precision thanks to/by measurements of a width, a length and a height at the most characteristic places. During the projecting, we used not only the documentation, but also historic photos from different perspectives like this:




The painting of our truck was a separate part. The basis, the camouflage, the texture and additives that is the original phototexture of headlights and the logo of polish Fiat.
At the end – traces of mud splash. In such a way we obtain a necessary element of our future map. The photos of the vehicle were made on a stock map (Eastern Blitz) to not to reveal a new map.








We made two types as you can see: with canvas and without.

We are working over placing the cannons in batteries, adjust the names of vehicles and improve the equipment on Westerplatte according to the bearing of historical reenactors. Soon we prepare the presentation of even more interesting vehicle from Polish Nation ;)

SuperDC v2.02 new Demo Release June 2015!




Hi Guys, we want to present you the 2nd Demo Release from the Super DC v2.02 Mod.

They have the potential to be lot of better than another DC Modern Warfare Mods in BF1942.
This mod bet COOP support.
Because this mod bring the best together in the year 2015.
The guy "bbfplayer" do an excellent job for made the best modern Warfare mod for us, the players!
Some Textures and bugs actually not fixed in this Demo. Playable fractions are Afghanistan, Russia, Great Britain, USA, Turkmenistan, Rebells, Euro Forces.
You have on this Demo different maps and different vehicles, for example the main battle tank of french Leclerc, from US Abrams-Bradley, from germany Leopard-Marder-Dingo, from russia T 81, from vietnam war T 54, from the UK Challenger 2, and many more vehicles waiting for you.
Super DC has a few modern ships like Kyznetsov, Akula Submarine (DCX Mod) and Boxer.

"bbfplayer" tell us about some facts, what he do in the last weeks.
 And he need some helping hands to finished this "-standard mesh material id for some tanks !!!(need help with this)!!!"

He tell about , "that the smerch has some fire deviation, but it shows great effective (it has big explosion radius), and kashtan too."
He made a spawnpoint on the kashtan map and edit the "ai.con file", so bots does't left kashtan weapon system, they do her job in this Flak weapon.

He don't like when most of defend weapons are empty (bots does't use them). Now he have 2 kashtans - for team 1 (red) and 2 (blue) with ai spawnpoints.
He has (UK vs Russia) testing stationary mgs, aa with spawnpoints.

At next he have to do:
-more vehicles
-more maps
-some ai fixes (aspecially for handweapons) step by step.

For now "bbfplayer" dont know how to edit material id with 3ds max and its a big problem for him.

The mod Super DC already has the AC 130. First of all he have to edit the B2 and TU22M bombers. B2 has something like moab ore nuke bomb.

At last "bbfplayer" found weather FX (rain . snow) , cloud system made by "Apache Thunder". Winter fog from the Solnetschnogorsk Map.
Now he seaching for sand storm?!
 
But there is a problem in SuperDC, the coop\singleplayer mod so he need to edit weapons ai (weaponTemplate.maxRange) for all (fog,snow dust) levels ore game with bots will be not interesting he think.

FinnWars 1918 search Beta Tester



FinnWars 1918 is a mini-modification for the FinnWars-mod developed by one guy, "Ruuga". FinnWars 1918 is set in the times of bloody Finnish Civil War, spring of 1918. Mod adds many new weapons to the BF42 and FinnWars like Mosin Nagant M/91 (the original Mosin Nagant), Arisaka Type 38, Berdan II, Mauser M1916, Mosin Nagant M/07 (The first Mosin-Nagant carbine), Stielhandgranate M/1917, M/1914 grenade and many more. The added features wont stop just to the new weapons. He is planning to add new vehicles and props. The mod also will have a unique teamwork-based gameplay system. "Ruuga" created this mod to break boundaries of BF42 modding.

This mod has been under constant development from the beginning of this year. (Not always in an active development. "Ruuga" was busy in beginning of 2015)

He have planned to release the first public alpha/beta version week or two before the independence day of Finland, 6.12.2015 Every independence day, dozens of Finns (usually about little over a hundred) gather up to play FinnWars. He planning to add this mod to the server alongside FinnWars to get some players.

I'm also making an encyclopedia for FinnWars 1918. It contains the basic information about Finnish Civil War and it's weapons.

GAMEPLAY

I'm planning to make the gameplay as unique as possible. I want this mod to stand out of other BF42 mods. Gameplay will be heavily teamwork based and there are no automatic weapons excluding machine guns. Machine guns will be "throwable" stationary-weapons that need two players for effective use. One player from the machine gun-unit shoots and the other one throws ammo-boxes. The ammo-thrower gets an unusual or a good weapon to balance his "boring" role. An MG shooter won't survive alone cause he only has a machine gun (that can not be shot without throwing it on the ground first) and a knife. The assistant has a gun which he can use to protect the machine gunner. Also to reload his MG alone, the shooter has to pick up the MG and throw it again which is way more irritating than having a partner who throws ammo for you.

Another interesting aspect of the mod is limited kits. Yes, if you know how to mod BF42 you can be a cheeky cheater and bypass the kit limits, but cheaters weren't a problem in FinnWars (which has kit limitations). So I don't believe that the cheaters will be a problem in this mod either. I'm sure that the possible cheaters will be easily caught if they continously take the kits that have reached their limit.
Also the kit limits, unlike in FinnWars, can be manipulated in every single map.


GRAPHICS

I'm not a skilled 3D artist. Especially working with the textures is an overwhelming job for me so I've now used mostly placeholder textures for my models. I don't plan to make models that are the best of BF42 mods. I accept the quality I can produce myself.
Surprisingly I am most proud of my work with the menu-files. I can't recall any mods that have changed the menu as radically as I have. (Counting the encyclopedia and ingame-menu). It's really tedious to edit the menu-files because the editor basically works like a linear-editing software. If you change or add someting in the middle of the file, it often messes up the rest of the file. So I've had to make a lot of elements to the menus from scratch.


AUDIO
I have no experience on creating sound effects so I have to use sounds from BF42 and FinnWars. Rest of the sounds I have to get from a public domain sound effects -site. If I manage to find a sound effect designer who works for free, this mod may have it's own unique sound effects.


RECRUITING

If you are interested in working with this project and have some skills that can help enhance this mod, I welcome you. I really need a texture artist and a sound designer but if you are a talented modeler or coder, come on board.
I'm currently developing this mod alone but I have an internet-friend who is also interested in Finnish Wars (and in BF42) and he seems to know almost everything from the 20th century Finland so I usually use him as a consultant.

Also I'm searching for map makers. I'm really strict about historical accuracy in this mod so the mapper wont get a completely free hands in mapping. I don't mean that every map has to be based on a real battle. I'm just saying that I wont let every map to have an armoured car or tens of airplanes. Those vehicles were extremely rare in Finnish Civil War.

If you don't have any mod developing skills and want to participate in this project, don't worry! You can be a beta tester! I need some experienced BF42-players to test this mod for bugs and to give feedback and ideas.

Stunts Mod 0.2e + Maps Release






After being gone from the Classic Battlefield Community for a good 8 Years "RoadKill" decided to install it again last week. The urge
all started when
"RoadKill" stumbled across Reegads Modding Stream on Twitch by accident...

Sooo...
"RoadKill" decided to dig through corners of the internet websites to find his good old Stunt maps StuntVilla 3, Stunt Island and Stunt Islands 2.
And it seems
"RoadKill" managed to find them along with the Stunts Mod 0.2e!"RoadKill" isn't sure how many of you are familiar with Classic Battlefield Stunting and Expacking, but have a look at some of the Stunt Movies.
